A New Slogan For The Beautiful Queensland

A really growing tourist area of the world is the Queensland of Australia, and Australia has good success marketing this area to the people. They have so much sunshine that the area has long been called the Sunshine State. In addition to the sun this means they don’t have much rainy weather which makes it a fantastic tourist destination any time of the year.

In an attempt to further boost tourism, Tourism Queensland, will be unveiling their latest slogan for the region at an event to take place on the Gold Coast. The new saying, designed to take the place of the old one, Where Else But Queensland, is going to help express the true nature of the region with the new tagline, Queensland, Where Australia Shines. This is truly a much better slogan.

You might think changing a slogan won’t be very impactful but when you realize there will also be four million dollars invested in this campaign, then you know tourism will get a big boost. The Crazy Ideas That Some People Have Can Only Make You Say; What Were They Thinking?

While there are many creatures in and around the city of Melbourne it is rare to see creatures while eating a burger and fries at McDonald’s but that is an experience that several people had this past week at the local fast food restaurant. Two men decided to provide some creature entertainment and pulled out a five foot python named Boris in the parking lot and began wrestling him.

Needless to say that visitors to the restaurant were a little shocked by what had been displayed to the point where they notified authorities who quickly arrived on the scene and arrested the two men aged 22 and 24. After arresting the two men, police realized that the python had been stolen from a pet store one day earlier.

Apparently, it is believed that the men also stole a lizard in the robbery that occurred at the Totally Reptiles Pet Store on the same day but the lizard has yet to be recovered. And while the owner is still concerned about the lizard she is relieved to have Boris back unharmed. The black headed python was a bit cold and stressed from his ordeal but seems to be unharmed and is recovering nicely back at the pet store.  Read more...
